Egypt’s former Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources
Eng. Sameh Fahmy, the esteemed Chairman of EPICORP, brings a wealth of experience and leadership to the board. With a distinguished career as Egypt’s former Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Dr. Fahmy has been instrumental in shaping the nation’s energy sector. His contributions extend beyond the executive realm, having served as a former member of both the Egyptian Shura Council and the Egyptian Parliament. His excellence and commitment to public service continue to guide EPICORP towards achieving its strategic goals.
Ashraf El-Garem, Vice-Chairman and CEO of EPICORP, brings a wealth of financial expertise and leadership to the board. He has held pivotal roles, including Financial Director of Dream Company and Financial Consultant for Mashreq Group. Additionally, he served as the Chairman of Triple A for Trade, showcasing his extensive experience in financial management and strategic planning.

Served as Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of Egyptian Linear Alkyl Benzene (ELAB).
Former Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of Egyptian Projects for Operation and Maintenance Company (EPROM), operating and maintenance management for major petroleum companies: MIDOR, Egyptian Refining Company (ERC),AMOC, ELAB, ESTYRENICS, SOPC new asphalt unit , AGIBA Meleha site and ASORC CCR plant.
His experience also include Eprom Chairman Assistant for technical support services and Midor project director
Mr. Hady Fahmy, a distinguished board member, has held several significant positions throughout his career. He has served as the Chairman of the Trade Holding Company under the Ministry of Investment and the Chairman of Misr Petroleum Company. Additionally, he has been the EGPC Vice Chairman for Administration Affairs and the Assistant Vice Chairman for the Control of Foreign and Joint Venture Companies.
Geologist Osama Farouk, a valued EPICORP board member, has a distinguished background in geology and mineral resources. He has served as the Chairman of the Egyptian Mineral Resources Authority, Chairman of the Fertilizer Company, and the EGPC Deputy Chief Executive Officer for Exploration and Agreements. His expertise extends to his role as Vice President of South Valley Holding for Exploration, highlighting his leadership in the exploration sector.
Engineer/Chemist Saad Hilal, an esteemed member of EPICORP’s board, boasts an impressive portfolio of leadership roles. He has served as the Chairman of the Egyptian Petrochemicals Holding Company (ECHEM) and the Projects Committee at the Ministry of Petroleum. His expertise also includes chairing the Egyptian Ethylene and Derivatives Company (Ethydco), the Egyptian Styrene & Polystyrene Production Company, and Methanex.
Engineer Tarek El-Hadidy, a key member of EPICORP’s board, brings extensive expertise in the petroleum sector. He has served as the CEO of the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) and the First Undersecretary for Gas Affairs at the Ministry of Petroleum. His leadership roles also include being the EGPC Vice President for Planning and Projects and the Chairman of Middle East Tankage and Pipelines Co. (MIDTAP).
Assem El-Sharkawy, an esteemed board member at EPICORP, brings extensive experience from his role as the former Vice Chairman of Triple A for Trade.
Engineer Mohamed Abdel-Gawad Mohamed Okail, a prominent board member, has a distinguished career in the petroleum industry. He is the Former Chairman of the Board of Directors of Assiut Petroleum Refining Company and the Deputy Chief Executive Officer for Operations at the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC). His leadership roles also include serving as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sonker Company and the Chairman and CEO of the Egyptian Company for Project Operation and Maintenance (EPROM), which oversees the operations and maintenance of five major petroleum companies: MIDOR, AMOC, ELAB, ESTYRENICS, and Egyptian Refining Company (ERC).
Mohamed Abou Zaid, a key board member of EPICORP, has a distinguished career in financial management within the petroleum industry. He formerly served as the General Manager of Financial Affairs at The Middle East Oil Tankage and Pipelines (MIDTAP). He was also the Director of the Office of His Excellency Minister Sameh Fahmy from 2000 to 2008 and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors at MIDTAP from 2008 to 2013. Additionally, he has been a member of the Board of Directors at Alexandria Petroleum Maintenance Co. (APM), Emarat Misr Petroleum Products, MIDTAP, and Midwater.
